Dear Friends de la Chaîne,

On May 4th, we hosted the 26th National Young Chefs Rôtisseurs competition at Özyeğin University, Le Cordon Bleu in Istanbul. Eight competitors vied for the opportunity to win the intensive training course "Le Cordon Bleu Basic Cuisine Certificate" valued at $10,000, generously provided by Le Cordon Bleu and the Bailliage de Turquie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, along with a set of Wüsthof knives, a Zeugma plate from Bonna, a White Uniforms Chefs Jacket, and the chance to represent Turkey at the international finals to be held in Budapest from October 1st to 6th this year.
The competition this year showcased an exceptionally high level of talent, and I am pleased to announce that the winner was Elif Er from Divan in Kurucesme, Istanbul. The runner-up was Kaan Acar from the Red Balloon restaurant, followed by Nusret Türküm from the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Istanbul.
I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the competitors, who contributed to an outstanding event.
I would like to express my gratitude to Le Cordon Bleu, Wüsthof knives, White Uniforms, Bonna Porselen, and all those who supported and contributed to the success of the competition.
