Three ETEKINA heat exchangers based on heat pipe technology have recently been installed as fully functional prototypes in three different locations: a steelworks in Slovenia, an aluminium casting production plant in Spain and a ceramics producer in Italy. The new devices are set to cut fuel costs for energy intensive industries by more than 40%, according to latest monitoring data. This means, this new technology could now revolutionise these sectors and make them much more competitive and much greener.
