Joe Russo of the Russo Brothers returns to University of East Anglia (UEA)

Award-winning director, Joe Russo, returns as an alum to campus! 🎬

Alumni Joe Russo, whose directing credits include a quartet of Marvel Cinematic Universe films, as well as comedy classics like Community, Arrested Development, and Your, Me and Dupree, visited campus last month to do a Q+A with current students and to receive an honorary doctorate of letters.

Having studied English and American Studies as visiting Literature, Drama and Creative Writing student at the University for a semester in 1991, Joe was awarded his honorary degree in recognition of his achievements within the film and television industry.

During his return to UEA, Joe also visited the Sainsbury Centre (a.k.a. 'Avengers HQ') with the external facade of the art gallery having been used for the superhero compound in a number of MCU films.
