I was about to start doing inventory control, when a friend recommended using barcodes to make tings easier and faster. He recommended the Koolertron Upgraded Dual 2.4G Wireless + Bluetooth Wireless 1D 2D Barcode Scanner QR PDF417 Data Matrix UPC Rechargeable Bar Code Scanner for Laptops/PC/Android/Apple IOS (1D&2D). After using it for a little bit, I was sold, and went out and got my own. I was able to create a barcode for all of my equipment, so that everything was able to be tracked and counted when going out and coming back in. I liked that it could sync with my Android phone, since a lot of tracking software s on phones, but I really like to use it with my computer. Sadly, my MacBook Pro is a little older, so it did not have bluetooth 4.0 in it to pair with the scanner. But that didn't matter, since it came with a 2.4 G dongle to plug into my computer. I plugged it in, and the Mac recognized it as a keyboard instantly. The instructions come with some QR codes you scan to switch the scanner between bluetooth and 2.4 G, so don't loose it, or remember to copy it for future need.

This year's best and most versatile wireless barcode scanner that uses either bluetooth or 2.4 G with included dongle.
