Banding/Ringing Of Eastern Imperial Eaglets In Tatarstan! 💕 A Boy & A Girl! 💕 7.10.24

Broadcast from the nest of the sun eagles in Tartastan Russia with the male eagle Altyn and the new female eagle Nova in the Almetyevsk region. In 2024, Altyn returned on March 24. A new female (Nova) appeared on March 24. Nova is a young female & this is her first breeding season. The first egg was laid on April 17. The 2nd egg - April 20. The first chick hatched on May 29, the second - on the 30th. The nest is on a pine tree 20 meters (65 feet) above the ground.The author of the project and ornithologist Rinur Bekmansurov, goes into the nest to band/ring the two eaglets.

The eaglets are banded H29 for the boy and A85 for the girl (oldest). ♥

The project is conducted by the staff of the Nizhnyaya Kama National Park.

The camera in the nest was installed as a part of the project "Conservation of eagle populations living in the territory of PJSC Tatneft operation". The live stream has been live since 2021. The project is also actively supported by birdwatchers and volunteers. The project manager is Rinur Bekmansurov.

The previous couple of eagles had names Altyn (male) and Altynay (female).
In 2024, there was a change of female. A new female received the name Nova. Thank you for watching!
