75 – New 60 Gallon Compressor installation

Our old 60 gallon Husky Compressor finally went out. It was actually because I forgot to check the oil, and it became too low, and seized up the pump. Very sad for sure.

So, on the advice of a friend, and several others in our King’s Fine Woodworking Community Group, I went with an Ingersoll Rand 60 gallon compressor. This video covers how we swapped out the two.

One interesting thing to note. Is that the Ingersoll Rand, I was told by many, is the upper end of compressors, and the Husky is the lower end. Yet the prove between the two, was only about $65.00. Not really a huge difference for something with a much better reputation and warranty.

The compressor was bought entirely by us, with no sponsorship of any kind. I don’t really know how good it is. But, I can use it for 6 months or a year, and then report back on it for those interested.

Tools used to do the install:

Ingersoll Rand 60 Gallon Compressor
Milwaukee Insulated Electrical Screwdrivers
Voltage detector
Wire Strippers
Compressor Hose
Plug for 240 volt cord
Cord for Compressor
Teflon tape
1000 pound rated utility cart
