When we make a pair of glasses , we will make sure make sure that the optical center of each lens is placed directly in line with each pupil. This insures that you have the very best vision, no discomfort or headaches.

The PD or Pupil Distance measurement is usually written on your prescription at the time of your eye exam. Pupil Distance can be measured in one of two ways. The first is monocular measurement, which will result in value somewhere between 26 and 36 millimeters. The second type is a binocular measurement in which case the number will typically be somewhere between 54 and 72 millimeters.

In lower prescriptions we can often estimate the pupil distance. In higher prescriptions, an exact measurement done professionally would ensure your lenses are perfectly aligned for your eyes. It's a simple and quick measurement to take and can be done in less than a minute.
