'Hedda' jumps right into my top films of the year. Nia DaCosta takes Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler, transplants it into the 1950s, and gives us a version that feels both timeless and raw.

Then I dig into how Nina Hoss absolutely owns the back half as her Eileen reenters the chaos.
