Midsummer in Sweden | Experience A True Swedish MIDSOMMAR with Me

Welcome to the MIDSOMMAR vlog! I'm back home in Sweden to celebrate midsummer with my family and friends. We are celebrating this year on an archipelago called Sandhamn. It's common for Swedes to have a second home on the countryside or archipelago, so for midsummer they usually go out to celebrate it there (although the holiday is celebrated all over the country).

Obviously the true midsummer festivities is nothing like the Florence Pugh movie. We eat, drink, dance around a pole that represents fertility and sing children's songs that we all grew up with, and swim in the ocean. We celebrate summer and our culture, and enjoy the time off from busy life. If you're in your 20s this is also one of the longest nights of partying (and happily drunken mistakes ❤️ 🔥💋). The food is never ending, the drinks don't come without songs, and the sun barely sets on these nights.
