Hunt the Truck (Wooden Railway Remake) | Christmas 2023

Merry Christmas, everyone! In honor of the birth of our Lord and Savior, here's a video that doesn't honor Jesus at all!

I want to give a huge shoutout to the amazing Nora Smith! I didn't know how I wanted to do the dream sequence, so I thought about reanimating it. I commissioned Nora to animate it, and through my dreadful notes and pestering, she made quite an impressive animation! Please be sure to check her out on Twitter (@_Nora_Smith1). I've wanted to remake this episode in full for years. You can totally disregard those two awful clip remakes I did back in 2018. Fun Fact; I actually did remake this episode in full way back in 2019. I had just gotten the Wood Nia and was keen to use her in a video, and I had even made a custom box car. Everything had been filmed but when it came to filming the scene at Ulfstead Castle, I drew a blank. I had no clue how to make a convincing castle, so I scrapped the video right then and there. I didn't want to tackle it again until I knew I could, and that time has come.

I started filming back in November and only just finished filming a few days ago. There were points during filming where I absolutely hated the video (specifically at the Docks), and almost went down the Haunted Henry route and started over, but I knew there was no way I could pull that off in time. After getting the scenes at the Docks done, my attitude shifted, and I really enjoyed filming the second half. I know there are some continuity errors and some shitty shots/sets, but I hope that doesn't detract from your overall feelings.

This video is made for both kids and adults. Kids can enjoy seeing their favorite characters on screen and memorable stories being remade or personal stories being told, and teens/adults can enjoy the production value/scale of the video.
