Heart of Cape Town community event in Hanover Park - Lighting up the Darkness

Heart of Cape Town is all about spreading Love, Peace and Unity, particularly during challenging times. Nowhere could this be more relevant and applicable than in Hanover Park.
At a recent heartfelt evening in Hanover Park, one hundred illuminated wire hearts were placed in the windows of Kariba Park Court, amidst a community gathering, singing and dancing and spreading a message of Peace, Love and Unity in an area that is very often in the midst of unrest, violence and gangsterism.
The event was the outcome of collaboration between Roberto Stemmet of Hanover Park, in partnership with Heart of Cape Town, The TJommies and community partners across the Cape Flats.
Roberto Stemmet first envisaged this – illuminated hearts in every window of Kariba Park Court – visible from afar - in November 2023 (first pic) and in May this year it became a reality (following pics).
Hanover Park has never seen anything quite like it. The spreading of heart-centred consciousness, lighting up the Cape Flats with beautifully illuminated hearts.
