American composer and orchestra leader Leroy Anderson (1908-1975) wrote his Piano Concerto in C Major in three movements for piano and orchestra in 1953.
This is a 2006 recording by the BBC Concert Orchestra conducted by Leonard Slatkin with pianist Jeffrey Biegel made on April 25th of that year at the Colisseum Waterford Town Hall in England.
The piano concerto appears as part of a five CD presentation of the works of Leroy Anderson encompassing the greater part of his huge body of work.
The concerto encompasses movements 1, Allegro Moderato; 2, Andante; and 3, Allegro Vivo.
The compact discs were engineered by Paul Watson and produced by Neil Varley. (Naxos 8 559 313)
