There is a huge dental shortage in our state and ECU hopes its dental school will help fill the gap -- particularly in rural communities. The school recruits students interested in locating in rural areas of the state. These students train in the school's new state-of-the-art facilities and also have opportunities to work in community learning centers around the state to prepare for jobs after they graduate.
