Follow up discussion regarding finishing pieces, including shellac,
sanding sealer, wax, etc. (look for videos from Bert Delisle and Mike
Peace regarding the topic…).

Dianne Ross: Two poplar apples with cloves for finishing touches, with helpful. hints to shaping apples (as well as many other shapes), including
cutting the apple in half, scanning and printing it (and don’t forget to
eat the apple!).

Kai Köthe: Kai was challenged to make a three-sided turmkreisel, and he rose to the challenge with his spinning fairy with swinging arms; photos
and a nice video.

Brian Maguire: Using his new Powermatic’s digital indexing, Brian turns, pierces, and decorates a one-piece goblet.

Ernie Conover: Recent activities include a talk to Western Ohio Woodturners, then attended Festool’s 100 th anniversary celebration.
Regarding jigs, Ernie will produce drawings for future reference, but
then typically ‘chucks’ them.

Rick: Flood coating with resin a yellow cedar bowl using a slow turning variable-speed motor.

Toby Bouder: Rough-turned green cherry burl pieces, including three (One Way) cored bowls and a platter.
Finished pieces including chestnut bowl, live edge cherry bowl, and
an ‘ugly’ live edge cherry burl bowl.
