Hello, thank you for watching this video, today we talk about some common ways which will damage our power supplies.

In our store, we have RD series power supplies and DPS/DPH/DP series power supplies, all of them are DC to DC power supplies

so the first damage reason is that some customers may not check the technical parameter in the product page, they will use AC input for our products, in this way the product will be burned due to the over high voltage.

If you want to use AC input, you need a AC to DC PSU, normally for our RD power supplies, there will be recommend AC to DC PSU in the same product link, if you use your own PSU, just make sure that the output is stable. If you use bad PSU with unstable output, like electric bike charger, second-hand power supply, modified power supply, there is still possibility that our power supply will be damaged due to the over high input voltage.

These 2 reasons are input voltage reasons, our power supplies can also be damaged with the load you connect.

If you connect a inductive load such as motor, you need to use the current in the 1/3 range, for example, you have a RD6006, normally you can set 6A for common load, but if you connect a motor, you can only use it within 2A, it is same for other constant current power supply, not just for our products.

The last reason is battery charging function, many customers will use our power supplies to charge battery, there is no problem, but you need to be careful about the wiring, for DPS/DPH/DP power supply, there is only 2 output terminals, no battery charging terminal, you need to check if you connect the output terminal to the correct battery electrode, if you connect it wrong, when the output is turned on, the power supply will be damaged, normally the fuse burned. For our RD series power supply, you need to use the green terminal for battery charging, it has protection function, if you use the red terminal, you need to be careful about the wiring too
