आजच्या या विडिओ मध्ये आपण तोंडाचा कर्करोग याबद्दल बोलणार आहोत. भारतामध्ये प्रत्येक वर्षी १०-१५ लाख लोकांचे कर्करोगाने निदान होते त्यामध्ये १-दिड लाख लोकांना तोंडाचा कॅन्सर होतो. पुरुषांमध्ये हया सर्वाधिक आढळला जाणारा कर्करोग आहे. तोंडाचा कर्करोग होण्याचे कारण म्हणजे तंबाखू चे सेवन . ताम्भाकूमध्ये गुटखा असेल ,विडी असेल ,या गोष्टींमुळे तोंडाचा कर्करोग जास्त होतो. तोंडाच्या कर्करोगाची लक्षणे म्हणजे आपल्या तोंडामध्ये , जिभेमध्ये , हिरड्यामध्ये किंवा टाळुला झालेली जखम खूप दिवस उपचार करूनही बरी न होणे. हि जखम कर्करोगाची असू शकते. टोंफमधून सतत दुर्गंधी होणे, किंवा लाळेतून रक्त येणे हि लक्षणे कर्करोगाची असू शकतात. कानामध्ये वेदना होणे किंवा आवाजात बदल होणे हे सुद्धा कर्करोगाचे महत्वाचे लक्षण आहे.

याचे निदान करण्यासाठी तोंडातील जखमेचा एक छोटासा तूकडा तपासणीसाठी घेतला जातो. त्याला आपण बायपुसी म्हणतो. यानंतर तोंडाचा आणि गळ्याचा स्कॅन घेतला जातो. यश आपल्याला आजाराचा प्रसार किती झाला आहे ते समजते. ज्यावेळी तोंडाचा कॅन्सर गळ्याच्या ग्रंथींमध्ये पसरतो त्यावेळी ती गाठ आपल्याया हाताला लागू शकते. यानंतर MRI केल्यानंतर आपल्याया त्या आजाराचा प्रसार किती झाला आहे ते समजते. आणि ते उपचार करण्यायोग्य आहे कि नाही ते समजते. आता तोंडाच्या कर्करोगाचर उपचार कोणत्या पद्धतीने करता येतात ते पाहू- पहिला उपाय म्हणजे कर्करोगाचा भाग किंवा ग्रंथी काढून टाकणे. जेव्हा तो कॅन्सर पुढच्या स्टेज मध्ये जातो टेंबे ते उपचार करण्यासाठी वेगवेगळ्या पद्धती वापरल्या जातात. . यातील एक म्हणजे अवयव संरक्षण शस्त्रक्रिया. ज्यामुळे आपल्या बोलण्यात चेहऱ्यात काहीही बदल होत नाही. कर्करोगाचा तुकडा बायपासि साठी पाठवल्यानंतर आपल्याया कॅन्सर ची स्टेज समजू शकते.

About mouth cancer
Mouth cancer, also known as oral cancer, is where a tumour develops on the surface of the tongue, mouth, lips or gums.
Tumours can also occur in the salivary glands, tonsils and the pharynx (the part of the throat from your mouth to your windpipe) but these are less common.

Symptoms of mouth cancer include:
red or white patches on the lining of your mouth or tongue ulcers a lump
Speak to your GP if these symptoms do not heal within 3 weeks, especially if you’re a heavy drinker or smoker.

Types of mouth cancer
A cancer that develops on the inside or outside layer of the body is called a carcinoma and these types of cancer are categorised by the type of cells the cancer starts in.

Squamous cell carcinoma is the most common type of mouth cancer, accounting for nine out of 10 cases. Squamous cells are found in many places around the body, including the inside of the mouth and under the skin.

Less common types of mouth cancer include:

oral malignant melanoma – where the cancer starts in cells called melanocytes, which help give skin its colour adenocarcinomas – cancers that develop inside the salivary glands

What causes mouth cancer?
Mouth cancer occurs when something goes wrong with the normal cell lifecycle, causing them to grow and reproduce uncontrollably.

Risk factors for developing mouth cancer include:
smoking or using products that contain tobacco drinking alcohol – smokers who are also heavy drinkers have a much higher risk compared to the population at large infection with the human papilloma virus (HPV), the virus that causes genital warts Read more about the causes of mouth cancer

Who is affected by mouth cancer?
Mouth cancer is an uncommon type of cancer.

Most cases of mouth cancer first develop in older adults who are aged between 50 and 74 years old.
Mouth cancer can occur in younger adults, but it’s thought that HPV infection may be responsible for the majority of cases that occur in younger people.
Mouth cancer is more common in men than in women. This is thought to be due to the fact that, on average, men drink more alcohol than women.
