Silk Reeling, or Tai Chi's version of qigong teaches the body to move as one continuous unit, and are practiced to mimic the circular and spiraling movements of the silkworm larva as it wraps itself in its cocoon. Silk Reeling, or chan si gong, allow qi, chi or internal energy to be cultivated in the dantian, and flowing optimally within the system.
