Since 1993, the Traditional Wadden Weekend is the annual outing of a selected type of Dutch Drascombe sailors. Third time sailed into German waters as Coaster Batyr (former Zeezot from Terschelling) was launched and recovered from the famed Drascombe harbour of Lauwersoog. The crew navigated the shallows N of Noordpolderzijl, managed to repair their failed centre plate webbing and pottered on to the German town of Emden. Bacon and eggs keep the crew happy during short daylight sails and dark early rises. This November 2022, again only one Coaster went, others possibly enjoy or shiver binging YouTube!
