This video, Ask the Scientist: Michelle S. Troche, Ph.D., is a recording of the webinar held on September 3rd, 2020, as part of our new webinar series. During these monthly webinars, we showcase the work of neuroscientists focusing on biological mechanisms and clinical research relevant to Tauopathies in general and progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) in particular.

Dr. Michelle S. Troche is currently an Associate Professor in the Communication Sciences and Disorders Program, Department of Biobehavioral Sciences at Teachers College, Columbia University. She holds adjunct positions in the Departments of Neurology and Otolaryngology. She directs the Laboratory for the Study of Upper Airway Dysfunction. Her research is aimed at developing robust evaluation and treatment techniques for dystussia and dysphagia. Her research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, Michael J. Fox Foundation, and National Ataxia Foundation. In 2016, she was awarded a CurePSP Venture Grant supported by The Jasperson Legacy Fund.
