In November 2023 I decided to rebuild my e36 M3 with‪@AutoSportFab‬. This mid "ish" engine build pushed the firewall, drivetrain, and driver back approximately six inches achieving a perfect 50/50 balance. Enjoy the pics and videos from the build process - I tried to keep them in chronological order as best I could. Pete and his team are true craftsmen who will probably care about your car more than you do - I cannot recommend them enough.

We found some incomplete welds in the old cage so decided to completely rebuild the car. Pete's team did 100% of the work on this car including development of a custom driveshaft, firewall fab, custom motor and trans mounts, and so much more as you can see from the video.

Fletcher S54 Wet Sump - tuned to 378 peak WHP at ASF
4.10 Diff & ZF 5 speed by Diffsonline
2850lbs with fuel and driver - 100% stock metal body, no fiberglass or carbon body panels exist on the car yet.

Our goal was to develop a competitive CMOD car that remained a true drivers' car. It would have been easy to throw a stroker motor and sequential into the chassis and run at the front of the class but we wanted to do something different. With a modest engine build (relative to front running CM cars) and h pattern gearbox and standard E46 ABS, our focus was on developing a platform that gains its speed in the corners.
