FLYING TO AUSTRALIA DURING THE PANDEMIC! When the borders are closed

We booked flights Milan to Sydney back way back in July!

Without being able to check in online, we turned up at Milan airport without knowing if we could even board the plane!

Currently the country is closed to every country, except it's citizens and permanent residents (that's us!). But even these people are struggling to get in the country!

We travelled a total of 30 hours from dropping off our van in Milan to arriving to our quarantine hotel in Sydney! Greeted by the Australian Army and Police personnel at Sydney airport and transported to a hotel, where we won’t be able to leave for 14 entire days

WHO WE ARE:

We are Alex & James. Originally from the UK, but also citizens of Australia after living there for 5 years. When we left the UK in 2014, we quickly caught the #travelbug and began making memories through video and photo. In 2014 we left the UK to go travelling.
In 2015 we moved to AUSTRALIA.
In 2016 we got engaged in HAWAII.
In 2018 we got married in the PHILIPPINES.
In 2019, we decided to chase our dreams! We quit our jobs, sold our belongings and booked a one day ticket to Asia.
In 2020 we became Australian citizens!
