Welcome back to my channel and welcome to Vlogmas 2020!! My name is Sarah, and today's video is a Vlogmas 2020 Favourite Holiday Treats Cookies and Gingerbread House.. This is my countdown to Christmas Vlogmas 2020. I will be posting every other day for Vlogmas 2020 as we lead up to Christmas. I will be posting Christmas related content, plus some cleaning motivation! I cannot wait to share everything with you as we countdown to my favourite holiday!!!

I make short bread cookies, sugar cookies (my kids decorate them), and a gingerbread house (my kids decorate it) all from scratch! I am no baker, so if I can do it, you sure can. I LOVE baking things for my kids.

Recipes:

Gingerbread House & Icing:

Shortbread Cookies:
1 lb. butter
1 cup icing sugar
3 cups flour
½ cup cornstarch

Cream butter and icing sugar. Mix in remaining ingredients and whip.

Bake at 300 F for 30 minutes.

Sugar Cookies:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg yolk, slightly beaten
3 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

Refrigerate 1 – 3 hours and roll and cut in shapes.

Bake at 375 F for 7-8 minutes.
