DXNMedia TV - AVMatrix TS3019 Wireless Tally

Here's a quick look at the AVMatrix TS3019 Wireless Tally system. After a few days of fabricating the connection cables, we managed to get the wireless tally to work with a) Sony MCX500, b) Panasonic AW-HS50, and c) AVMatrix's own VS0601. Only the VS0601 have the preview green tally lights enabled in their 15-pin tally output. The other two switchers didnt have function to trigger the green lights in the GPIO output. The Panasonic AW-HS50 took a while to register the trigger, and is sometimes erratic in connection. HS50 users will need to remember to enable Tally output in the switcher's menu. As a quick review on the tally unit, we think AVMatrix did quite badly in the packaging. No batteries (4x 18650 cells), no manual, no hotshoe or ballhead, and not even connecting cables to their own switchers are included in the package. Buy at your own risk that you'd be left on your own to get it working because our local dealer certainly don't know anything about it. We had to cross check manuals, figure the pin-out configurations, and painstakingly solder our own cables to get it working.
