SOLO Point of Contact Speedrun World Record (

With this run I now have all the Solo world records for extinction!
I started speedrunning extinction about 2 years ago while being bored because of corona, at this point I was still unlocking all the teeth upgrades and speedrunning was the fastest method to get teeth which let to my first wr. A year ago I became pretty serious about speedrunning extinction and beat my own time and started to beat other maps. Now I finally accomplished my goal and beat all the wr's. Thanks to all of you guys watching my video's I never expected to get any views at all and was very surprised over the last years. I am sure Eric Barnes, Xx Stewy or other runners will beat my times at some point which will give me more reason to play this game.

In the description he explains al the tech used in this run whey better than I could describe it.

Eric Barnes has been optimizing this map until the finest of details, from the optimal way to destroy barrier hives until the helicopter voice lines. Without him the world record would never have been at the place where it is now.

For the other extinction maps I figured out fast strategies and did testing to see what was the best method to get a fast time. For this map however all the optimization was already done. I basically did the same run as Eric Barnes with a little better luck and a little bit faster escape.

The record could still go a bit lower, there was one sub optimal hive in area 3, I got the second meteor skip on my second attempt and while destroying the second barrier hive I accidentally switched weapons.
A sub 37:10 is definitely possible.

This is a 37:12 for ZWR and a 37:17 for speedrun.com since they have different timing rules.
