The project will be ongoing for years. The initial phase of the project is already funded and will begin as soon as weather conditions allow with the construction of a large longhouse and a handful of smaller buildings. The conceptual designs and construction drawings are made by archaeologists who are specialized in Viking Age buildings, as well as professional construction engineers to ensure that safety and other regulations are followed.
