Welcome back to Week 2 of my recovery journey after breaking my calcaneus (heel bone) and talus in a motorbike accident. This week has been… eventful 😅

I finally got my iWalk hands-free crutch and quickly discovered it causes a LOT of ankle pain — so my dream of sudden independence was short lived. We also travelled to my children’s very first dance show (a 40-minute car ride each way) which left me in absolute agony, but watching them tap dance their hearts out made every second worth it. 💛

The next day hit hard. Pain, exhaustion, and trying to help decorate for Christmas even though I usually do everything myself. Losing independence has been one of the biggest challenges of this journey, physically and emotionally.
