Nearly 2 years ago Guigui remastered the soundtrack of the old Dofus for Dofus Retro, rearranging it, keeping it mostly the same but with new instruments, but also not in the game sadly, this soundtrack included 6 additional tracks on top of the game's soundtrack and is avaliable here on Youtube, but i'm uploading it here aswell to gather all remastered versions of the temples in one place, and also because Youtube's auto generated soundtrack channels aren't too reliable.
Here are the time stamps for each class temple:
0:00 Feca
1:29 Osamodas
2:57 Enutrof
4:13 Sram
5:19 Xelor
7:12 Ecaflip
8:17 Eniripsa
9:32 Iop
10:47 Cra
12:06 Sadida
13:46 Sacrier
15:02 Pandawa
And the playlist with my previous uploads of all the class temples which included the original, reorchestrated, modern and Wakfu versions of each class temple, including the ones past the original 12:
• [OST] Dofus/Wakfu Temples
These are interesting because they're a mix between the originals in instrumentation, but take the extended melodies from the reorchestrated version, which itself was already like a remastered version of these soundtracks, but Dofus 1.29 just can't get enough rearrangements it seems, and i'm even missing still a batch of them because Dofus Retro does have a "remastered" mode but it just alters very slightly the music so it doesn't sound so compressed.
Here's the reorchestrated version of the soundtrack (semi-complete for some reason? they're complete on my class temple videos if you want to check them out entirely), which was also never implemented into Dofus Retro, strangely:
• Dofus Retro OST (Remastered)
So now i guess, a little personal note on each of them taking that into account:
Feca: Very clean, lovely as always, but sticking to the original instruments, you have the classic Dofus whistle taking a big role in it, but i can't deny the reorchestrated version beats it by a lot.
Osamodas: Slightly on pair with the reorchestrated version, it doesn't innovate much, it just polishes the original, and i like that, both are really nice.
Enutrof: Strong opinions on this one, remember the original had those two weird noises constantly? the seemingly grinding of a shovel and rubble crumbling down, those are present in the reorchestrated version, and they might be weird, but they're iconic to the track, and here they're been turned into a weird squeak and a sneaky sound of rubble, the reorchestrated version has a lovely deep bass too, so the winner is clear.
Sram: Again, the sound effects that form the soundtrack are so iconic that when you replace them or take them away it feels like a downgrade, the reorchestrated track has the ghosts going "Woooo", the evil laughs and the girl screaming, this one gets rid of the ghosts, and modifies a bit the others, it could be good, but the constant sound of rattling is a bit loud too.
Xelor: Same, the tick-tock is consistent with the clocks in the area, i like that, but it sounds a lot like a midi (?, enjoyable regardless.
Ecaflip: The echo is a bit offputting, puts me in a trance, but not in a good way, the reorchestrated version uses the pan flute instrument aswell, but better.
Eniripsa: Pretty much the same as the reorchestrated version, except it handles volumes a little less effectively, especially because the sound of running water in this one is a bit intrusive, it has its charm in-game, but as a standalone track, eh.
Iop: Remember that i said on the original Iop temple video that this sounded like it was playing the Luigi's Mansion theme with the bells? well, now it's more evident because it's more instruments doing it in unison, really pretty instruments tho, but the other has an extra own melody in between that gives it more uniqueness.
Cra: Really good actually, maybe even better than the reorchestrated one surprisingly, the leading instruments are perfect, and it has a couple of sounds that please my ears mixed in there, like a kind of squeak, the guitar shines especially.
Sadida: Loyal to the original instruments and very pretty on its own right, on pair or even better than the reorchestration, good job here.
Sacrier: I think basically exactly the same as the reorchestration, lol, consider Sacriers didn't really have a theme in 1.29 to begin with.
Pandawa: Also apply the previous statement to Pandas, they didn't exist in 1.29 so their temple in Retro is new, and it reuses the Pandala village OST, nice rearrangement tho, but as always reorchestrated wins, it sounds more grandiose overall.
Overall it feels like a downgrade from the last time the ost was remastered, but it seems to aim to be an inbetween the originals and those extended ones from the reorchestration, it does a nice job at that, but it's not my go-to sadly.
