Hi my name is Miles and I will be showing you in these videos how to maintain and edit you website which is running on the Open Source Content management System WordPress. My current installation will be running the latest version WordPress 3.9.1, however the concepts in this tutorial should remain the same no matter what version you have. If things don't look the same to you, you may be using a different version.

To Start using WordPress, you will need to login. To do so, simply open up your preferred browser on a mac or windows computer with an internet connection (of course) and type the login URL that should have been provided by your web administrator.

Once you are brought to the login form simply enter the username and password for your site in the appropriate fields and click the login button.

Once you have successfully logged into your WordPress admin area you will be brought to what is called the "dashboard" screen. This is simply the starting page of your admin area and provides a quick overview of things on the site.

After you have made your edits and finished working in the admin area find the button at the top right with your username, hover over it and click log out. You will know that your account is successfully logged out because a message will appear that says you have successfully logged out next to the log in form. And thats all there is to it.
