Legacy Series Episode 19 - WHAT A BLESSING @ DONALDSON DAM

Barend Breedt and Raymano Venter decide to visit the well known public venue of Donaldson Bottom Lake near Westonaria in the midst of winter. They use winter sessions to improve their carp angling techniques and skills. As the dam had not been producing well during winter this year, they approached the session with cautious optimism.

Raymano is quickly blessed with a beautiful common of 30lb, at the end of this video you will see the significance of this amazing fish. What a recovery story with responsible anglers practicing correct fish care provided us the opportunity to land this awesome fish (now named "Blessing") completely recovered, bigger and healthier than ever. She was once again doctored and released safely for the next angler to experience.

Whilst at the dam Barend and Raymano also receive the great news that they had been selected for the 2022 National SAFBAF B Carp Facet team. Unfortunately the day comes to an end and the video team Vector Media must leave, as they had another shoot booked the following morning. Barend and Raymano decide to take on the video responsibilities themselves and stay over 1 extra night at the dam, they also decide to change tactics from the boilie approach to a particle approach. What a great decision it was, what an awesome story, a story of friends, memories and blessing!
