How I Shot it: A Cinematic Environmental Portrait in Any Location

Описание к видео How I Shot it: A Cinematic Environmental Portrait in Any Location

This video goes into detail about how I turned an ordinary, dreary corner of my parent's backyard into a cinematic environmental portrait using a mix of strobes and constant LED lights. Most of my gear was on a moving truck en route to my new home in California when I shot this video, so I had to get by with the limited gear I had on me, which was still more than enough to get the job done.

The main takeaway from this video is that whether you'er shooting video or shooting photos, creating a compelling, cinematic light is about crafting a scene first and foremost using your environment and the lighting present (either natural or practical) and using that as the motivation for how you set your lights so that it feels consistent with how it "should look."
