Selling House to Buy more BTC and Make Bigger Impact

I was deeply inspired by the story of CZ, the founder of #Binance, who shared his commitment to making a lasting impact on the world. In his journey, CZ made bold moves—selling his house and car to invest more heavily in Bitcoin—showing that sometimes, significant change requires significant action.

In all the courses I create for Prison Professors, I emphasize the importance of learning from leaders who think differently. Leaders like Frederick Douglass, Socrates, Nelson Mandela, and Viktor Frankl taught me invaluable lessons on resilience and purpose. These lessons helped me endure 26 years in prison and build a successful life after my release.

Through our nonprofit, I aim to teach millions of justice-impacted individuals that by shifting their mindset and thinking like leaders, they too can become the CEO of their own lives. They can emerge as law-abiding, contributing citizens with the power to shape their futures.

But reaching higher levels often requires new strategies. The ideas that worked to get us here might not be the same ideas that take us forward.

That’s why I’ve made a personal decision to sell my house and car to invest in Bitcoin and companies that are driving the digital economy, especially in Artificial Intelligence. It’s another way I continue learning from leaders and staying true to the principle that I never ask anyone to do something I wouldn’t do myself.

When I shared my plan with CZ, he was clear that he wasn’t offering financial advice—he was simply sharing his journey. But the more I reflected, the more I realized that a new strategy aligned with my goals.

To make a bigger impact and scale our nonprofit, I estimate we’ll need to invest $3 to $5 million per year. My wife and I are fully aligned on this goal, and next week, our house will officially go on the market. I’ll be documenting the entire process as part of a new course I’m developing to inspire millions of people in prison.
