I saw that applications were open for the BearSMP so thought it would be fun to make a little video and post it! :D
This is the full version of the application as there are shorter cuts on twitter and tiktok!
This was really fun to storyboard, record and edit and I hope it's enjoyable to watch too :))
There is also a lot of tiny details throughout the 'lore' section of this video that hint to a potential backstory of the character I could play so make sure you keep an eye out for them! ;p

When i saw there was an opportunity to make an application video for the bearsmp i was very excited. I rushed down to my little garage, turned on my pc, brushed away the overnight spiderwebs and then realised i have no idea what im doing.
So i did what any gen-z-er does in their time of need and turned to google which unsurprisingly didnt answer any of my questions on how to join a popular story-based minecraft smp.
And then i noticed i still havent introduced myself. So hi im dayye!
Bit about me; i stream on twitch.tv/kingdayye, i use they/them pronouns, im 19, i live in the uk if u cant tell by the accent, and when excited i speak a-very quickly.
Im not gonna sit here and try to persuade u that im ABSOLUTELY THE BEST CANDIDATE EVER because straight up thats probably not true, however i do believe that i would be the most enthusiastic. Now i know that sounds like a stretch and honestly a complete overexaggeration, but i dont think it is and heres why!
Like all of us, im sure, i have dreamed of becoming a cOnTenT cReAtOr since i was tiny, since i realised it was something i could do. Im not very good at being openly ambitious, but when i say i am the closest to that childhood dream, that CURRENT dream, that i have ever been, it blows my mind. I started streaming in march and i reach affiliate in 22 days and just *brain explosion noises*! But obviously while me being passionate about what i do is a plus, it doesnt really mean that much when it comes to you scouting out people because you dont know what i can do, u just know i have the energy of a frickin yappy pomeranian.
Since the bearsmp is lore based i would obviously need to create a character that can fit in with the story already set in place, which is why ive decide to go down a slightly more obscure and risky route of not telling you who my character is, but showing you oooOOOoo. Character-dayye would smell like this, taste like this this, feel like this, look like this, and sound like these: .. i decided to do it this way because while thats a set character vibe, its not a set character meaning its more open to the interpretation of both cc! and c! bsmp members.
The lore is probably one of the most exciting things about the bsmp to me. Im gonna get Pretentious for a second here so pls forgive me but little fun fact that even my viewers dont know, i have been professionally trained in acting since i was 7 years old, ive been performing since before then, and ive written and released short films, so i am well versed in the ways of storytelling lol. The idea that i could be involved in something that i enjoy not only as a “actor and filmmaker” but also as a viewer, is so cool and ohymygod i promise im selfaware of how much of a dick i sound im gonna stop now.
Im also just well aware of how long ive been talking, i wanted to keep this short and sweet but im apparently too excited and i have too much to say.
So long story short, i hope i have given a good impression, i hope you can consider me for joining the smp, and i hope this letter reaches you well, bear. Before its too late.)
