Vemuram Myriad Fuzz into Clean Amp demo. Playing my Nik Huber Redwood Rietbergen Adam Miller Signature model with Lollar Gold Foils, Two-Rock Classic Reverb Signature, SE Voodoo VR1 Ribbon Mic

Yes, I’m sorry that the focus ended up being on R2D2!!

Here’s the Myriad Fuzz played straight into a clean amp. I like to use a fuzz mainly for unusual sounds and textures, being able to do lofi computer sounds, and deep sub synth drone sounds. I’ve used a fuzz a lost on my last few albums for background textures in this way, often played into reverse and octave loops.

The Feel knob is a blend between the Germanium (FCCW) & Silicon (FCW). I have the pedal setup so that the germanium is biased to be very gating and nasty (bias screwdriver on top). That way I can just use the feel knob to change it from dying amp sounds to cutting fuzz lead tones, and go anywhere in between. The ability to dial these sounds in quickly is really the thing that makes this fuzz incredible.

These demos are not meant to be comprehensive, but of an idea of how I tune and use pedals. This was recorded at home playing volumes, ie the master volume on my Two-Rock is at about 7 o’clock! I don’t really like to play any louder than about 9 o’clock on the master anyway (that’s plenty for show volume for me). The reverb is from the Two-Rock, which just a touch of room reverb in the box to give the single mic some stereo image spread.
