Materials Needed:

Steps:

Prepare the Original Object
Clean the surface of the object thoroughly.
Apply a release agent to the object to prevent the fiberglass from adhering to it.

Create the Mold
Cut fiberglass cloth into manageable pieces.
Mix the resin according to the manufacturer's instructions in a well-ventilated area.
Apply the resin to the surface of the object using a brush or roller.
Place pieces of fiberglass cloth over the resin-coated object, ensuring complete coverage.
Apply another layer of resin on top of the fiberglass cloth. Repeat this process, adding layers until you achieve the desired thickness for your mold.

Allow the Mold to Cure
Let the fiberglass cure according to the resin's curing time. This typically takes several hours.

Remove the Mold from the Object
Once the fiberglass has cured, carefully remove the mold from the original object. You may need to use a release agent between the mold and object if necessary.

Prepare the Mold for Shell Making
Clean the mold to remove any debris or release agent residue.
Apply a release agent to the inside of the mold to prevent the shell from sticking.

Create the Shell
Cut fiberglass cloth into pieces.
Mix resin as before and apply it to the inside of the mold.
Layer fiberglass cloth inside the mold, applying resin between each layer until you achieve the desired shell thickness.

Allow the Shell to Cure
Let the fiberglass shell cure according to the resin's instructions. This usually takes several hours to a day.

Remove the Shell from the Mold
Carefully remove the fiberglass shell from the mold once it has fully cured.
Trim any excess fiberglass and clean up the edges as needed.

Final Touches
Sand the shell to smooth out any rough areas.
Polish or paint the shell as desired.
