Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. We're going to be taking a look at the Trailer Valet JXS Trailer Jack. This is going to help you to raise and lower your trailer. But the thing that really makes the Trailer Valet version distinct from any other kinds of trailer jacks. Is that you can actually use a cordless drill on the crank shaft here to power it. And make it go up and down really quickly.

It's a nice advantage so you're not having to sit there and crank forever. Or wait for your jack to lower and wait for it to rise. Usually takes a super long time. As you can see, it does come with a manual crank arm. So if you don't happen to have a jack, or a drill with you, or battery dies, you still have that backup. And it does come with the attachment to connect your cordless drill to that jack.

What you do is attach this to the chuck on your drill power it away. You're good to go. That's a pretty nice feature. It's pretty unique to Trailer Jack. And it is really quick to raise and lower, or to extend and attract retract the jack.

It saves you a lot of time, makes it really easy. It's much easier on your arm and your back than having to crank away with that manual crank arm. This particular jack is going to be the 2000 pound capacity jack. And this is a side-mounting, so it's going to wrap around the frame of your trailer. I'll give you some measurements in just a minute to let you know what this is actually going to fit. Some of the other specs that I want to go over with you real quickly.

At the back of our jack here, you can see there's a grease zerk. So you can do some service and maintenance to the jack. Make sure that it's lubricated, keep those gears in working order, keep them from getting rusted or gunked up. It also comes with a nice foot plate, so you can spread out the weight of your jack. So it's not going to just sink into the ground or really dig into the dirt, sand, or any kind of softer material that you might be landing on.To put this into the storage position. It does have a pull-pin design. That makes it pretty easy to flip this up so that it sits parallel with the frame of your trailer. You just pull this pin, spring load it there and then that's going to pull the pin on the inside. And then this whole piece will rotate to the side for you. That's an easy way to store it up. And make it much more compact so that it's not hanging down and causing any issues. Again, while we're here, you can see that foot plate just attaches with your typical safety pin. We've got our attachment on one side. So if you want to take that off and switch it out with a wheel or something like that, you can. That is sold separately to get a wheel attachment for this jack.As I promised some numbers to go over with you. This at max for the frame size, the distance between these two bolts in the holes there is four and a half inches. And then the holes go down in inch increments. So go from four and a half, to three and a half, two and a half, and so on. The max width that you can get here from that bolt is three inches. That's just how much thread you've got to work with here. The shoulder of that bolt does limit you to an inch and a half. So it can go between a three inch wide frame down to an inch and a half. That's going to be a usable width there. The usable frame, that you can attach this to.The amount of space that this will take up on your trailer is about six inches to either side of this flange. The total height of our jack, whenever it's retracted is 23 inches. If extended all the way out, it's going to be 37. Again, that's going from the ground to the top of the jack. When it comes to the actual lift height or the bracket height for our jack. We measure from the center of this bracket to the ground at minimum, or when it's retracted it's seven inches. At the maximum, it's going to be 21 inches roughly. So it gives us 14 inches of travel. That's how much it's going to lift our trailer overall. And then as far as clearance from the top of where it would attach to our frame, to the top of the jack, it's about 14 inches as well. The tube diameter, two and a quarter inch for the outside tube. The inner tube is two inches. A lot of numbers to go over with you, but should be a pretty good jack. This is kind of one of the lower-configured brackets that I've seen. Some have the bracket a little bit higher on the jack. So this'll work out for those instances where you need that jack to coat down
