Alpha-gal syndrome has afflicted thousands, CDC says 42% of doctors have never heard of it

The CDC is warning about an illness called Alpha-gal syndrome that is now estimated to have spread to about 450,000 people. The illness causes severe pain and faintness, according to the CDC. NBC News’ Rehema Ellis has more on why many doctors know far too little about it.
