One of the problems when shooting in a "semi-auto" mode like aperture priority is that whilst you are in control of the aperture or iris, you still run the risk of not getting the correct exposure due to a slowing shutter speed as you turn the camera towards darker areas.

However, aperture priority is a great setting when you need to be in control of the aperture setting such as for landscape photography so how can you ensure you get the shot?

When shooting any subject that isn't moving (at least too much), especially in aperture priority or using a slow shutter speed, always try to use a tripod as this will help to eliminate motion blur.

In this video, I show you the pitfalls you could face if photographing a wedding (for example) in changeable lighting environments using aperture priority.

Luckily, many modern cameras now have auto ISO in manual mode which is a massive help in situations like this and I will do a video for this in the near future...
