Hello Everyone !!!
We all know what is going on between Nepal and India.
Yes, I am talking about border issues now considered as the highlighted issue between these neighboring countries.
Back then in 2015 India and China agreed to expand border trade at Qiangla/Lipu-Lekh Pass, a far western point of Nepal, near Kalapani and Nepal's Parliament raised serious objection over the agreement. Both India and Nepal were trying to solve the issues with diplomatic talks but the problem wasn’t solved and got into shadow after a few months. The border issues took a new height when India released their political map on November 2, 2019, claiming Kalapani, Lipulekh, and Limpiyadhura as their territory. Students linked to the opposition Nepali Congress party protested outside the Indian embassy in Kathmandu, carrying signs that read: "Back Off India", to protest against the map, bringing back the memory of anti-India protests in the wake of the 2015 border blockade imposed by India. Kathmandu and New Delhi have tried for a series of talks to resolve the boundary dispute but there was no such effort and response. But When Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Inaugurated the link road on May 2020 from Dharchula to Lipulekh, Nepalese people started protest against the Indian Government. Nepal has proposed resolving the dispute through dialogue, but officials claim they have not received any response from New Delhi.
Protest going against India all over the country force Nepal Government to take strong action on this issue. Later on, Nepal released their new map claiming Kalapani, Lipulekh, and Limpiyadhura as their territory. There is a debate going on both sides about these issues but India had denied accepting this new map of Nepal. Speaking in parliament, Nepal's Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli suggested India was bullying Nepal, and warned, "We won't let go the issue of Lipulekh, Limpiyadhura and Kalapani. This is our land and we will reclaim it. It is not a disputed land. It is our land. India created unnecessary controversy by claiming it as theirs. This government will make concrete efforts to reclaim the territories."
On May 13, 2020, Nepal’s lower house (house of representatives) has unanimously (258 votes) voted on the constitution amendment bill to replace national emblem with Nepal’s updated map, which includes Limpiyadhura, Lipulekh & Kalapani… National unity! one Nation- One Voice! No room to play!” said Bishnu Rijal, deputy chief of the department of foreign affairs & member of the Central Committee, Nepal Communist Party (NCP), in a tweet after the voting was over. Let’s see how this issue solves soon through diplomatic talks or Will Nepal try to solve this issue with the help of the UN?
Now let’s look at the history of Nepal and India. What history tells us about the border of India and Nepal and to whom this territory belongs.

But why India is claiming Kalapani, Lipulekh, and Limpiyadhura as their territory?

Sino-Indian War or Indo-China War was held in 1962 India was worried over an aggressive China in the 1950s and got the King of Nepal to agree to a proposal to station 18 military outposts along Nepal’s northern frontier. In 1969, under bilateral negotiations, all the posts were removed barring Kalapani. It was a help from Nepal as a brother but since then Indian Army is ruling the Kalapani Area and now India is claiming this region on their territory.
Lipulekh is strategically located as it is nearest to the heart of the Indian state or the National Capital Region and can be of particular concern in case of an armed conflict with China. It can be used by Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims and tourists on their way to Kailash Mansarovar.
