Sony TCD-D8 DAT Digital Audio Tape Walkman wont play and stops while playing

A customer brought in a Sony DAT TCD-D8 Digital Audio Tape Walkman for a no play - intermittent play issue. It turns out the top capstan bushing was worn and I had to press the capstan shaft into the brass bushing approximately .1mm the get the magnet (rotor) to clear the capstan motor coils.
