After dealing with a stumbling idle and random misfire, I finally determined the injectors were loose in this 2008 BMW 335i with the N54 engine. It's a pretty rare problem, but the injector holes can become loose due to improper injector installation or removal.

So I took a gamble on this engine and tried out the PPI repair kit. To perform the repair, you have to drill out the injector hole, tap the hole, and insert a new sleeve for the injector to seal against. It was one of the scariest repairs I've ever had to do...
