Connections :

-Both are girls with heroic determination and a sense of humor from indie games with purple features and the great ability to attack with their hair.

-Both are hybrids of a mythical and legendary race in the past (Genies and Dragons) and probably being the "only" of their kind currently (Shantae being half-genie after the genies started to disappear in Sequin Land and Lilac being the last Water Dragon after this kind of dragons were killed)

-Eventually being revealed that there were more like them (In Shantae's story it has been revealed that there were still more genies like her in the world outside the Genie Realm and with Lilac being revealed that Merga was another Water Dragon and adding other kinds of dragons as well).

-In the past of both of them, they have never met their parents to begin with and even their mystery and at the same time the whereabouts of their parents is still unsolved.

-Both have at some point received critical damage during one of their games (Shantae in being in a critical state for stopping Risky Boots and Lilac in being in a critical state for stopping Brevon).

-Both in their first games had to stop a villain from obtaining certain powerful items that granted great power (Shantae in stopping Risky Boots from obtaining the Elemental Stones and Lilac in stopping Lord Brevon from obtaining the Kingdom Stone) thus achieving their goal and saving the world from destruction.

-Both in later time had the objective in stopping a villain that was sealed or locked up some time ago (The Pirate Master and Merga) where they had to go through several worlds and meeting old friends at the time.

-At the end of the last games of both, they take a possible new direction in order to discover more about their past.
