Jump aboard and take a front-row seat on Oaks Amusement Park's brand new Euro-Fighter roller coaster Adrenaline Peak.
On a rainy Saturday guests lit up as they enjoyed their first ride on “Adrenaline Peak”, the new roller coaster at Oaks Amusement Park.
The attraction is a Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter 320 that stands 72 feet tall, sports a beyond-vertical first drop, and three inversions.
The park feels the new ride is taking them to new heights. Interim CEO George Kolibaba said, “I am pleased to announce a very successful implementation of the new roller coaster. This is a major step for our park and the success was due to many people’s hard work and commitment. We met our opening date, even with marginal weather, it was a true success. The site preparation was key and under the direction of Martin Daexle of Gerstlauer, WBF the setup company, and the local iron workers, [our team achieved] a new record for setup time. The Gerstlauer team of Martin and Tobias made us a winner. Thank you [also] to Ride Entertainment, Adam was always there to help us. We are looking forward to a great season.”
“This Euro-Fighter was a fantastic project and in many ways took us back to our roots,” said Siegfried Gerstlauer, Managing Director of Gerstlauer Amusement Rides. “Our company began making unique, marketable roller coasters for small parks and Adrenaline Peak certainly fits that bill,” he said.
The coaster was certainly a media darling for much of the weekend. Reporters from around Oregon visited the park Friday to go for a ride, with some of the segments being repeated three or four times and registering as some of the most popular segments online. The brightly-painted coaster captured the attention of Oregonians of all ages.
“When a park like Oaks gets a new coaster it really is a reason to celebrate,” said Adam Sandy, Chief Business Development Officer at Ride Entertainment. “With its traditional rides and unique roller skating rink Oaks is iconic and what we think of as a classic American amusement park.
