12th track on the 2007 album "Up From The Desert" by LA Rap Group Brothaz Bent.

This 23 track strong album is almost unknown altough it shoudn't be that way: It's easily one of the best rap albums of 2007 (although there were 'The Weatherman" by Evidence, "Below The Heavens' by Blu & Exile, 'Bloody Radio' by Grayskul; and 'Bayani' by Blue Scholars the same year.... damn... what a fantastic year that was...).

On the production side we have hard-hitting, sample-based Boom-Bap-Sound like in the golden days, yet many of the songs (especially later on the album) have a unique catchyness to them and "warm you up" with some beautiful melodies. The producers Animoss and Don Chalant (Don C) later went on to produce bangers for Roc Marciano. On this album you can see, why.

The lyrics are pretty much reduced to what Hip Hop once was. No fancy talk, no overly dramatic topics, no love songs, just raw lyricism from the streets. This album could have easily been released in 1994.

I do not own any rights to this. As a rap enthusiasts I just see it as my duty to upload the gems no one has ever heard of.
