Climbing North Sister - The Most Dangerous of The Three Peaks

North Sisters, aka "The Beast of the Cascades" is 10,090' of the most terrible volcanic rock you could imagine. She is part of the There Sisters Mountain range located outside Bend, Oregon. While not overly technical, the North Sister is often referred to as the most dangerous of the three peaks due to its extensive erosion and rock fall. While I loved every second of this, I probably would not climb it again due to the inherent uncontrollable danger of some of the worst rock I have ever encountered. Funny story, I agreed to run an ultra marathon if my close friend and climbing partner Gabe led me up N. Sisters.
