The state government of Telangana has launched a new scheme named as KCR Kit in Meternaty hospital in petlaburg of hyderabad, focusing on women welfare and new born. The chief minister has come out with a Rs. 605 Crore innovative scheme “KCR Kit” for the pregnant women and new born. The scheme will help manage the complications during the time of pregnancy and help reduce infant mortality rate.

KCR Kit scheme is aimed at providing all essentials for a pregnant women and new born baby thus helping to manage the pregnancy complications. The main objective of the KCR Kit scheme is to reduce the infant mortality rate and encourage institutional deliveries in the state.

The state government has launched this new KCR Kit scheme for the pregnant women with a budget outlay of Rs. 605 Crore for the financial year 2017-18.

The KCR Kit under the scheme comes packed with several essential items for the pregnant women and new born baby. Below is the list of items which will be provided in the KCR Kit.
– Soaps useful for mother and child
– Baby oil
– Baby bed
– Mosquito net
– Dresses
– Sarees
– Hand bag
– Towel and napkins
– Powder
– Diapers
– Shampoo
– Toys for kid

The KCR kit contains essential items which are useful for the new born for up to 3 months. Apart from this if a women give birth to baby girl the government will give 13,000 rs, and if a baby boy 12,000 Rs will be given to the parents along with the KCR Kit.
