Kayak camping around Wilmington on the Cape Fear River-Day 2

Our second day on the river came with a rather rude awakening but fortunately we remained unscathed…let’s just say the shipping traffic on the river gave us a little more than we bargained for. A glassy calm met us on this river when we started in the morning which was incredibly surreal…a time we just paddled in silence and took it all in. Finished the day with some ever so light precipitation but ever so high spirits. Had a great time and now on to the next adventure!
