Our abandoned waterfall seemed to be teeming with amphibians, so I cleaned up the overgrowth around the small garden water feature and turned it into a small pond. This video is a celebration of life in a tiny biotope.

Frogs, toads and salamanders (newts) are protected species don't just take them out of their natural habitat and put them into your pond. It might be a voilation of local laws and more importantly: it isn't in the best interest of the animals. Most of the video was shot with zoom on maximum to not disturb the wildlife.
(The water pump is not operational so that the native creatures are not disturbed.)

The tadpoles will be returned to the local pond (200 meter from here) when the metamorphosis is complete.
