Prince George’s County Police say a man in the U.S. illegally is facing murder charges in the death of 19-year-old Dacara Thompson, who had been reported missing last month.

Detectives said Hugo Renee Hernandez Mendez killed Thompson inside his Bowie home, then left her body along Route 50, where it was later discovered by Maryland State Police.

He is now charged with first- and second-degree murder.
