Nomula Manikya Rao on Anantha Babu Door Delivery Murder Case. The murder case involving former YSRCP MLC Anantha Babu has taken a dramatic turn as new facts continue to emerge. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has submitted additional charge sheets to the court, presenting key evidence about the role of his wife, Lakshmi Durga. Earlier, the case was projected as if Anantha Babu alone was responsible for the killing of his former driver, Subrahmanyam. However, fresh investigation suggests that his wife was also present during crucial moments on the night of the murder. According to the SIT, CCTV footage from the apartment shows Lakshmi Durga at the scene when Subrahmanyam was allegedly assaulted and his body was later moved. The motive appears to be a financial dispute. Subrahmanyam had reportedly borrowed ₹50,000 earlier and still owed ₹20,000. On Anantha Babu’s birthday, he was allegedly called to the house over this pending amount, assaulted, and killed. The body was later delivered to the victim’s family, claiming it was an accident. With the case reopened under the current government, investigators are examining whether there was an attempt earlier to dilute the case. Lakshmi Durga is currently absconding, and police have intensified efforts to locate her. The case remains under active investigation.
