Holbein Artists' Colored Pencils Basic Tone Set has a variety of colorful pencils for starting in colored pencil drawings. They can be used on any brand and type of paper. Bristol vellum has a smooth surface and is easy for blending colors. This video describes all the colors and how they will look with light and dark values. Blending the colors is demonstrated and many examples of the blended colors are shown.

A demonstration using the Holbein Artists' Colored Pencils on Gemini 140# watercolor paper and then blending with Holbein MELTZ Color Pencil Blender is presented and shows the results similar to watercolor. The water soluble MELTZ blends easily with watercolor paint and mixtures. Holbein MELTZ can be used on any kind of paper along with the Colored Pencils.
